We organise genuinely fun, hosted queer social events across Sydney so you don’t have to find people to go with. Think big gay group dinners, drag brunches, WLW drinks, coffee catch-ups, queer run club, LGBTQIA+ Friday knock-off drinks and more!
Most members come solo. That’s the point! Every event is host-led, and before each event, your host will email you with their photo and contact details, so you know exactly who to look for when you arrive, so you’re never walking in alone, and have someone waiting for you!
It’s relaxed, social, and designed to make meeting new queer friends feel easy – never awkward.

Your Sydney Gay Social Club membership gives you access to our full members-only calendar – so you never have to find people to go to things with again. We organise the group, book the table, and make it easy to show up and get social.
Most events are free to attend – you just pay for what you eat or drink on the night.
For the occasional ticketed event (like a concert or show), we organise the group so you’re never going alone.
Unless an event is marked otherwise (for example, WLW events for female & non-binary members), all events are open to the full LGBTQIA+ community.
And when we say “gay” or “divas” – we’re talking energy, not gender.

Many events like running clubs, walking groups and book clubs are completely free to attend.
For dinners, brunches or drinks, you simply pay for what you personally order. No packages. No minimum spend. No pressure.
Very occasionally, a third-party ticketed event may apply (for example, a concert or show). These are rare and always clearly communicated in advance.
