WAIT, WHAT IS THIS?
Brisbane Gay Social Club is a real-world, members-only social club for meeting LGBTQIA+ people in person. No apps. No awkward walk-ins. Just curated events, good energy, and plans you actually want to show up to.
We’re the big gay gang you can plug into when you want to get social – the table you join when you don’t want to figure it all out yourself, and a genuinely easy way to meet new queer friends without pressure.
Think group dinners, drag brunch meet-ups, WLW rooftop drinks, queer coffee catch-ups, Friday knock-off drinks, laser tag and more. Sometimes we host our own smaller events. Sometimes we book a table or space at bigger ones and go together. We go where the vibe is – or we make the vibe!
Our community is mixed ages, mixed genders, and mixed sexualities, ranging from 18 right through to 78. Everyone’s here for the same reason: to meet people, make friends, and have a social life that actually feels fun.
And yes – most people come solo. That’s the point!
Before each event, you’ll get an email reminder/introduction from your event host, so when you arrive, there’s already someone there to welcome you and bring you into the group.

Instead of stacking the calendar, we focus on a coupkle of well-hosted event each week – so you don’t feel overwhelmed or guilty for not going to everything all the time.
Most members come to one or two events a month, and that’s exactly how it’s designed.

HOW IT WORKS
Your Brisbane Gay Social Club membership gives you access to our members-only calendar of LGBTQIA+ events and meet-ups – so you never have to figure out plans or who to go with.
Most events are free to attend. For dinners, drinks or activities, you simply pay for what you choose to eat or drink on the night. Occasionally, a third-party ticketed event may apply (such as a concert or show), and this will always be clearly communicated in advance.
Unless marked otherwise (for example, WLW-specific events), all events are open to the full LGBTQIA+ community.
And when we say “gay” or “divas”, we’re talking energy, not gender – everyone’s welcome.

Unless it says otherwise (like “WLW Drinks” or “Gay Men’s Running Club”), all events are open to the full LGBTQIA+ community. Don’t read too much into “gay” or “divas” – we’re talking energy, not gender.

Brisbane Gay Social Club runs one great, hosted LGBTQIA+ event each week.
The calendar changes monthly and is designed to be easy, social, and actually doable – not overwhelming.
Think group dinners, trivia nights, WLW drinks, chill socials, activity-based events and the occasional bigger group outing. Jump in when it suits you. Skip what doesn’t.
💌 Be Introduced Before Your First Event
Before your first event, we’ll digitally introduce you to your event host – so when you arrive, you’re not walking in cold. There’s already someone there to welcome you and help bring you into the group.

📅 Free Events + Pay Only for What You Choose
Many events are completely free to attend.
For dinners, drinks or activities, you simply pay for what you personally eat or drink on the night. No packages. No minimum spend. No pressure.
Very occasionally, a third-party ticketed event may apply (for example, a show or activity). These are rare and always clearly communicated in advance.
