Be sure to read it all thoroughly below, but the short version and the translation for the girlies: Sports Day is camp chaos. You are the CEO of your own safety. We barely trust our gays in a pub, let alone in a relay race. Love yourselves accordingly.

1. Voluntary Participation

I understand that participation in Sports Day is completely voluntary. I choose to take part of my own free will.

2. Acknowledgement of Risk

I acknowledge that sports and physical activities involve inherent risks including, but not limited to, slips, trips, falls, collisions, muscle strain, environmental hazards and accidental injury. I accept that these risks cannot be completely eliminated.

3. Full Personal Responsibility

I take full and complete responsibility for my actions, decisions and behaviour during Sports Day. I am solely responsible for assessing my own physical ability to participate in any activity.

4. Release of Liability

I release, indemnify and hold harmless Brisbane Gay Social Club, its organisers, hosts, volunteers and any associated parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions or causes of action related to injury, accident, property loss, medical events or any other incident that may occur during or as a result of my participation.

5. No Alcohol or Drugs

I confirm that I will not consume, arrive under the influence of, or carry alcohol or drugs during Sports Day.
I understand that:
• If I choose to consume alcohol or drugs before attending, I do so entirely at my own risk.
• Any impact, injury, accident or incident related to intoxication or impairment is solely my responsibility.
• BGSC holds no liability for any behaviour, injury or issue arising from alcohol or drug use.

6. Behaviour Expectations

I agree to behave safely, respectfully and appropriately towards all participants. Unsafe or disruptive behaviour may result in my removal from the event.

7. Medical Responsibility

I acknowledge that I am responsible for managing my own medical conditions, medications and physical limitations. I will not participate in any activity that I feel unsafe or unfit to complete.

8. Property Responsibility

I am responsible for my personal belongings. BGSC is not liable for lost, stolen or damaged items.

9. Event Adjustments

I accept that BGSC may alter, postpone or cancel activities due to weather, safety concerns or other circumstances.

10. Photography

I consent to being photographed or filmed at the event and understand these may be used for BGSC community content or promotional material. If I prefer not to appear, I will notify the host at check-in.

11. Emergency Situations

If an emergency or incident occurs, I agree to follow instructions from BGSC hosts or emergency personnel.

12. Binding Agreement

By submitting this form, I confirm that I have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. I understand that this agreement is legally binding.
